Sushi Time!

I ventured forth out of our room yesterday afternoon, looking at the newspaper and petting the dog, Roscoe. I thought it was a quite innocuous trip, but I saw Deedee and I met Julie (the part-owner who paid for Mark's trip to Idaho). When Mark got off, he said that they invited us out for supper with them, since they saw me going out and about. So we went with them, Deedee's brother, Jeff, and Melissa and Jessica (Deedee's assistant) to an all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant! We didn't order sushi exactly, but everything came on group plates, once you'd ordered, so we tried various types and most were quite good! I'd ordered tempura zucchini strips (yum!), Miso soup (with tofu and seaweed)(actually good), a potato croquette (all these servings were small) which was good, and Double Screamers (I didn't know these were sushi, but I loved them - they were spicy tuna rolls, with Cajun something else, avocado, and a few other things. Anyway, they were very tasty! I also tasted Love Affair (lobster, crab, and rice - which I didn't really care for), salmon and rice (same thing), a Las Vegas roll (didn't like), and some of Mark's steak, which was pretty good. It was fun to try so many things. One of them that I didn't care for had eel sauce on it. I wonder if that's the one I really didn't like. Hmmm...Anyway, we finished up with little creme brulees that were delicious! I enjoyed the company, too. It was super-nice to be invited out like that. We could never have afforded the all-you-can-eat menu on our own. It was funny, because on the menu it stated that you had to eat any rice that came with the all-you-can-eat choices. Fortunately, these wasn't much rice with our choices (it had me a little worried at first). So there, Melinda! You get a nice, detailed description of our food! Besides that meal, I didn't eat all that much, so you're totally up-to-date now. : ) I'll probably post some pictures taken with the company's little camera, later on, since I haven't unpacked our camera cord yet and Mark couldn't get his cord to work on our camera. See how lazy I am? We only have a few bags to unpack! So, everyone take care and I'll be talking to you and posting more later on. Love You! xoxoxo

As gross ans sushi always sounds, your stuff actually sounds good! Well, some of it.
We are making a roast in the crock pot for dinner, but that is unusual. lately I don't want to cook at all.

Eel sauce sounds yucky, but everything else sounds delish! That was nice of them to invite you guys out, it seems like you guys do a lot with Deedee and Melissa, although I have no idea who they are. You'll have to remind me of who they are so I can at least get a picture of them in my head.
