Sick Mark and Crazy Tut

Can you believe, it was 74 degrees here yesterday? That was a record for that day. It's 68 today. Mark and I got out yesterday, even tho he's still sick and not sleeping; we went to Wal Mart to pick up some things, and we went by a used bookstore for a while. That was really interesting because they have lots of old books! Mark and I enjoyed our outing, and when we got back I went to jewelry making and made a necklace. (I took a picture of me wearing it, so Mark can download it and I can post it.) I returned something at Wal Mart and used the money to buy a ceramic curling iron - it was only 14.97! I tried it today, and I reallly like it. That is such a blessing. I curled all my hair and put it up in a ponytail. It looks great, I think. Yay! I've never had a good curling iron before. Anyway, after jewelry making, I went to bingo, just to be supportive in general. Then Mark and I went down to Melissa's office (she's the nurse) and visited with her. She joined us in the dining room and we had some delicious lasagna, broccoli-cheddar soup, and mini eclairs for dessert. Doesn't that sound yummy? Mark worked yesterday a.m. and he's working today. Hope he's better soon! I trimmed my hair in layers the other day (just on the sides and a tiny bit on the back). It feels much better now, and it looks better, too. Tut is acting crazy lately, attacking the covers. I'd like to get him a cat toy and play with him. Since I've been brushing him, I've found about 3 cat hairs, in this whole time. Wonderful, isn't it? Tut stays on our bed most of the time now. Maybe because it's warmer and under the bed isn't so cozy feeling to him. Well, I'd better go. Some singer named Esteban is getting ready to entertain us now. (added later - He was good on the Tony Bennet, Marty Robbins, and classic songs like "Stardust.") Btw, if you're wondering, all I have to do now is straighten things up, dust and scrub a little, brush Tut, and take care of myself physically. I also write on this blog, have fun with Mark, and socialize with old people (whichI love - it reminds me of hours I would spend with my mom's mom, Grandma Wakefield/Gray. When the entertainers sing something like "Danny Boy" I start to cry, thinking about Grandma and Eileen and all of you and the grandkids. Music makes me very sentimental. So then I go pet Roscoe. I rolled over to Mark's work, for the exercise...and I found out he was over here! Then his assistant pushed me back, just to be helpful. When I got back, I saw that Mark was in a mtg., so I rolled back to our room the long way. This building is huge! Now I'm eating peanuts. Pleeeazzze comment on my posts if you haven't. I love that you're reading my blog! And thank you to those who have already commented - it means so much to me!! xoxoxoxo

I'm commenting! I'm commenting!
There is one problem with all your posts. They all tell about the delicious food you get to eat, and that you don't have to cook or clean up after! I'd like to have that "problem" over here. I kind of do, with Brooks loving to cook, but I don't feel like a good wife or mother if I don't do most of the cooking during the week.
That's great about the cat hair disappearing! With Asia we don't notice it much either, except in our room, which is where she spends 95% of her time.
It sounds fun to have big buildings to explore!

Sorry I haven't commented on the last couple! I did finally comment on the karaoke post, and if you only knew how busy I've been, you would understand. Hunter has been a little terror lately... more to come on my blog soon... so anyways, I agree with Megan, I'm sooo jealous that you're eating all this wonderful food that you don't have to cook or clean up. If I could at least have a magic elf come clean up the mess I made, it would motivate me to cook more often. I'm glad you can just enjoy it though, and no one would appreciate it more than you! Tell Doc to feel better!
