Fun, Fun!

Yesterday (Tuesday), I went out in the a.m. and made five greeting cards! Even tho my hands still shake terribly (going to ck. with dr. about that), I was able to make the cards and it was so fun! A lady named Barbara comes twice a month, donating her own time and materials, to help us with paper crafts. Isn't that cool? It's amazing how many people volunteer! When I was in Good Samaritan, I found out a number of you kids had been there a bunch, volunteering in various ways. And other people did various things for us, voluntarily, that were really nice, like bringing Christmas cookies to us. I imagine if I'd stayed for Christmas Eve and Day I would have really seen service being done for the people in the nursing home. I love that! Then, last night, we didn't have supper, but instead watched a REALLY good movie, Ghost Town, in the theater with DeeDee, Julie, and Jeff (DeeDee's brother). Julie recommended it, and other than a couple of cuss words I can highly recommend it. It's one that makes you laugh and cry, and it has such a good theme. I found it very uplifting. That was just great, and today at 2 we are having karaoke, and DeeDee and Julie are coming to that. I've got to hurry and get ready. I've been straightening and finished the unpacking around here. Then I took a few more pictures. : ) I love getting to know people so much better than I did in Pocatello. It gives me the feeling that I am doing missionary work, and maybe just helping people! With an orderly existence now, I can think so much more clearly. That helps me be able to participate in life and contribute more. It's fun AND of some value. And I always have things to make, things to mail, my blog and phone calls, etc. I know we'll have really good visits with you all in the future, too. I hope so much to come up to I.F. for the Fourth of July, too. So remember, that's our family reunion! I hope Seth can be there too. Phillip will be in Afghanistan, but he will be a strong presence with us, on our nation's birthday. (Waves to Phillip in MO! I know you guys are getting ready to deploy. Wow! A lot to even contemplate! Do you feel like an old hand at deployment? Are some of you newbies at this?) I'd better go get ready, it's only an hour now. So, take care, and don't forget to read my older posts you may have missed! xoxoxo

How fun, I'm so happy that you're getting to go out and be yourself and spend time with other people. People just love you once they get to see your positive attitude, Dallin always mentions how you make him laugh and are so positive. We'll plan on the 4th being our family reunion, I realllly hope you guys can come or it just wouldn't be the same. Are you planning on coming up here this weekend, or is that not going to work now? Let us know, we want to see you if you're coming this weekend! Either way, keep writing and telling us all about your fun adventures, I love reading about it all.

Just added that movie to the netflix folder thing so it is next up! I've been wanting to watch good movies lately. Saturday night Brooks and I watched Inception on the projector and really liked that. I love when we find a movie we both want to watch!
I bet you have really talented volunteers there too! Maybe a famous person will show up someday.
We will miss the reunion this year (whahhhh!) but will plan a trip the next summer around it. Brooks starts getting 3 weeks off a year sometime this summer so he will build that up for us to come. This summer we hope to go to Florida to see Kim and her family! It is half the distance away and if her brother in law gets another internship at Disney then we can get in for free! So, we gotta take advantage of that while we can! Brooks doesn't think Disney stuff is very neat, but I'm sure he would love to see the kids having fun there. Audrey and Anya would love all the princesses!
So how did karaoke go? Did you sing???
