1st, I've edited the Thanksgiving photos, such as they are, and will post them soon...only 1 of Haley and the baby and 1 of Hunter and 1 of Dallin. Sorry, but it was a short trip for them, and we were having fun, plus, the baby was napping and Hunter went downstairs and watched a movie with the kids. Those are pretty good excuses, n'est pas? (Pardon my French ;o
Secondly, we watched Far From the Madding Crowd today on TCM.
I'd seen it in high school and wanted to see what it was all about, since I remembered only bits and pieces. Julie Cristie and Terence Stamp are really great for their roles, as were Peter Finch and the actor who played the neighboring sheep farmer, Thomas Oak.
It's peaceful in parts and tragic in others, but always romantic. The best part is the location filming in Wiltshire (?), England; not the scenery, but the people and the mood that were captured. I felt like I was in Babette's Feast, but not with teetotalers, that's for sure!
Anyway, it fit my dreamy mood. Oh, and it shows Stamp's skinny backside, very briefly, when he goes out to swim in the ocean - so you've been warned. It's a movie to watch by yourself, unless your husband likes period romance movies. It would be great for a rainy afternoon or late at night, with a bowl of popcorn.
Speaking of which, I am doing a computer-fast for the next month, at least. It was my idea, because I want to get a bunch of things done. And to change things up a bit. I'll only go on when it's late at night, to blog and check email. I won't miss any more sleep than I am now, and I'll enjoy it more, and I'll enjoy creating some new things, which I always want to do and am ready to do, but don't do when the computer is just sitting there with all kinds of things to learn and explore on it.
I'll let you know how it goes, 'kay?
I love you!

I never did see that there movie, but thanks for the warning about the skinny backside! Hahaha....
Sometimes it is hard to get into these quiet, romantic movies but they can end up some of the best movies out there! I still love the movie with Collin Firth, although now I can't remember which one is was.
