Day Before Thanksgiving!

First, you wouldn't believe the mix-up we had a couple of mornings ago:  Mark thought he'd surprise me by taking a letter to Seth and a letter to Mrs. C. to the post office, before I'd even gotten up.  That way, the cards I'd made them for Thanksgiving would get there on time.  What he didn't realize was, he mailed a card to Mrs. C. with no letter (so no acknowledgement of the box she'd sent), and no card to Seth, but with Mrs. C.'s letter!  Oh my gawsh!
So the next day I sent Seth's card, with a little note to mail Mrs. C.'s letter back to us.  Meantime, I'll need to write Helen a note, telling her I got her box.  Sheesh!  That's so funny! (Good thing I never write things about you kids to her!  That could be embarassing!  Mostly, I write about books I'm reading.)

Second, Mark's been getting ready for Thanksgiving the last two days, making dressing, green bean casserole, fruit salad, and pumpkin and chocolate pies.  He's all excited about it.  We're going to Melinda's, and they're inviting Steve, the neighbor, over.  Phillip will be there, with Haley and Dallin and kids coming later on.   I also asked my aide to call me when she gets off work, so we can serve her some food, too.  (She's all on her own.)
Melinda invited Misty's family, but they'll be gone that day.  Still, we should have a good bunch.  Linda and Ben will be with her folks,, and Justin is going over to Tara's family's home for Thanksgiving.
Und sooo ve see how dat all goes...

Otherwise, we are holding down the fort.  Take care, and keep a sharp lookout!

Hahaha....
What a mix up! I'd love to see their faces when they get their letters, or empty envelope!
I love how excited Doc gets for Thanksgiving and cooking, and he looks so young in that picture! Ooooh, I bet he is making his amazing chocolate pie stuff. Mmmm.... We are making a basic chocolate pie, which will never live up to Doc's pie.
I wish we could all be together this year! It would be so neat if you and Doc could visit here one of these days. We get awful lonesome sometimes!
