My Leg Isn't Broken...

Supposedly. If the radiologist is right. Yesterday my new wheelchair tipped forward and dumped me, really easily (for it). Fortunately, it was in the carpeted bedroom, but I landed on my right knee and it felt like I'd broken my kneecap or the end of my femur. It felt like a sledgehammer hit the end of my knee! Mark was getting ready to leave work, so he came home and Seth lifted me into the car. We went to the ER, where they gave me morphine, which helped during the x-rays. I must have soft-tissue injuries, though, so I'm calling the dr. today to get a referral to see an orthopedist or an appt. to see him. It feels like my cartilage or something is all torn up. And I'm in my old wheelchair till they come check out my new one today. So that's all good (that my leg isn't broken), and that Mark got me prizes. : ) But my leg hurts. I have to go lie down and take it even easier than I normally do, if you can imagine that! Love You! xoxoxo

You ARE trying to be translated one body part at a time! Crazy that your new wheelchair did that. bad wheelchair! Just shows that all new things aren't perfect! I hope they can figure out why it did that though so you can use it, since the old one is causing troubles too.
I will try to call today, maybe soon, and see how things are going.
That's terrible that now you will have more doctors to see though!

That is terrible! I can't believe how many accidents/injuries happen to you, but once it starts then it seems to attract other health problems. That is so sad that you are in such pain though, that's the worst part of it all. Make sure you take it easy and that Doc and Seth take good care of you. I hope this doesn't start another line of problems, with reactions to medications, etc. Sigh... call me if you're bored and feeling well enough to talk! I want to talk to you!

Mammerloo! That is so sad! I was going to call and see about coming to visit tomorrow, but maybe now I won't! Oh, I hope you feel okay and that they get you all better. I can't believe your new wheelchair did that! I want to call now, but I don't want to bother you if you are resting. Maybe I will try later today. Love you and don't get hurtie any more!

I hope your leg really is ok and just bruised or something! That's weird that your wheelchair basically threw you out of it. Maybe it's a magical wheelchair that just needs to be tamed. . :)
