Stake Conference Sunday - Messed Up, But Fun

We went to Stake Conference, Mark and I, and Seth stayed home to leave for work in an hour. After a time, my heart was racing. Then Mark and I realized I hadn't taken my shot or my a.m. medicine, so we went back home. We found Seth looking for his work shirt, which he'd just had out the night before, and his room was all clean, so it wasn't lost in that wilderness. Anyway, I told him to call them at work and tell them that he needed to help take me to the hospital, because that's the way I was feeling right then. He called and, as usual, they had given others the day off, so he had to come in. That's the third time they've done that, the other two times were when he was really sick and had to go in anyway (a violation of the health code). He was sick all day those times, so we had him 'play hookey' this time and kept him with us, after we got partway to the hospital and I started feeling better. So we watched a movie, we planned some activities, and we played mind games with Leto by each taking a different door and randomly opening it from the outside, calling Leto, then shutting it. He kept running back and forth like crazy. It woke him up, at least! Than Mark gave Leto treats, made him some gravy, and poured it over Leto's food to make it tastier. Leto liked that. Then we played Rummikube out on the back porch, which was really fun and one of the few board games Mark enjoys. He was behind the whole time, and then he won! Seth's boss called later and said it had been a slow day, anyway. And said to tell me to get well. Now we're having pizza and then Klondike bars. I know, we're bad... But in a good way, I hope. Some days you try your best and then make do. P.S. Seth is going to try to get a job where he doesn't work on Sundays, since they make him work every Sunday, and that's way more than he's supposed to.

Oh good, I'm glad you got to keep Seth with you for the day. It's really too bad that he has to work every Sunday. I hope he finds a better job (and one that doesn't make him come in when he is so sick!). And that's scary about your trip to the hospital, but I'm so relieved that you're feeling better! Thank you for talking to me on the phone for so long today. It really helped me to see everything from a different perspective (and just because women are better listeners than most men). :)
Your food tonight sounds so yummy. We also had a yummy dinner. We had corn on the cob (from the garden), sauteed mushrooms, and filet mignon. Then I made that whipped pumpkin pie for dessert. We don't usually eat like that, just so you know. :) Oh, and I need to get you that recipe! It's so good.
I also have to tell you something Hunter did today that was hilarious. For some reason, whenever Dallin tries to get Hunter to look at him, Hunter never will. He just looks away. So today I was holding him, and Dallin put his face right in front of Hunter's face; so Hunter moved his eyes so he couldn't see Dallin. So Dallin moved his head back in front, and Hunter sighed and moved his eyes away again. This happened over and over, and then finally an exasperated Hunter moved his head to the complete opposite side, and that went back and forth until we had tears down our cheeks from laughing so hard. I wish I had gotten it on video! Anyways, you'll just have to use your imagination. Ah, so funny.

I forgot to say that I burst out laughing about the tricks you played on Leto! Hahaha! And I'm surprised Doc is willing to play a board game; I don't remember ever playing one with him! And that was nice of Seth's boss to call him (but Seth should still find another job).

That sounds great and liek you made the most of your time together. I always remember one time when you let Megan and I stay home from school and we came to Idaho Falls and ate at J.J. North's and went to the cheap movie and it was sooo fun! Sometimes being spontaneous is the best thing! I, too, hope that Seth can get a job with better hours!!
