Hello there!  Whatcha doin'?  If you've posted, then I probably know.  Or if you've called me.
Betty Ellis' funeral was Saturday morning; I heard it was really beautiful.  They had a guy sing Ave Maria and Can I Have This Dance?, because she and George loved to dance.  Isn't that sweet?

Mark had to do work at The Gables, and then we picked up things of Seth's (with Melinda's help) and put them in storage.  I saw George at church Sunday.  He seemed to be doing fairly good, and he gave me a hug.  He was sad, but said he'd manage.  We're all glad that she's out of pain now.
I wish I'd gone to the funeral and seen Terie and Wade and Becky.  They had a ward potluck that night, but Mark had been working all day, and I was fine with not going.  It was a really full day for Melinda and Danny, tho!

There was a beautiful spirit still lingering at church Sunday.  Our ward had grown spiritually since we've been doing the 1940 indexing and doubling our efforts.  Those things have made our mtgs. and lessons mean so much more to us, and it feels like we are preparing and strengthening ourselves and each other for what is to come (not if they should come).  Either way, there's a wonderful feeling that exists when we are together, and Betty had written about our ward in her journal.  I'm happy that she was able to have those experiences before she passed on.

Lately, I go outside, back of our apt., to read when it's nice out.  Leto comes and lies down in the grass.  He loves that, and I do too.

Take care!  xoxoxo

I too am sad to have missed Betty's funeral! So sad for George to lose her, but honestly, he's getting up there in age and maybe he will join her soon! Then they will be all young and healthy again and it will be wonderful!
Brooks does indexing but I never have, although for years I keep thinking I need to start! What is taking me so long?
The kids are soooo excited to come visit! We have been packing our bags today, even though we can't pack everything yet. Then there is lots of stuff to do on Thursday and Friday, like mowing and taking the fish and flower pots to our friends house. We still need to put a hold on our mail.
See you soon!
