Mother's Day and More (Pictures to follow)

Oh, I cannot say how tickled I am to be getting THREE years of blog books for Mother's Day!  Thank you Megan, Melinda, Justin, Ben, Haley, Phillip, Mark, and Seth!  (Thanks to Phillip and Mark for chipping in so much.)  That was so thoughtful of you!
I also had a visit from the Campbell kids who sang a song for me, photos and a visit from Josh and family, photos from Megan and family with a song on Skype and a video on her blog, plus a phone call from Seth, stickers and a card designed by Audrey from all of them, and Hazelnut Lindt Truffles from Haley and Co. - Nummm!
Please forgive me if I've forgotten anything.  I am so excited about the blog  books, and I want to get 2011 very soon (asking Mark, for my birthday, heehee : )

They had a wonderful Mother's Day program here at The Gables, and Ben and Josh and Linda sang songs for mothers.  Josh was sooo cute, covering his face, then looking up at Linda while he sang and smiling hugely at the audience as they sang the last notes.  The ladies oohed and awed over him.  When Linda brought Bethany over, they did the same over her.  She was just like a little Buddha in tiny blue jeans.  Cuterama!

The day before Mother's Day (Saturday),  we went to the church pot luck and then we picked up a Free Man!, namely Phillip, who was honorably discharged from the Army after 4 yrs. of service, 2 deployments, 3 IED explosions, and a bad back and ankle for souvenirs!  So he will be getting therapy and sharing an apt. with Andrew Scholes and his friend Dustin, who we met at the airport.
Phillip hates people to make a fuss, but this last time we ignored his requests and had a big group of people there to meet him (Haley and Dallin, Danny and Melinda and their 5 kids, Ben and Linda and their 2 kids, Mark and me, and Andrew and Dustin - that's 17 people), with a big chartreuse poster Haley had made, welcoming Phillip.  We all yelled and screamed as he entered the terminal.  He smiled and blushed, and the people around him smiled at the fun we were having with Phillip.  Phillip embarassed, mission accomplished!
We just  couldn't let him go 4 years and not embarrass him even once!
Afterwards, we went to Melinda and Danny's to have root beer floats.  We got to visit and ask probing questions of Phillip (no pressure, right?) about his plans.  I also asked him questions about the IED explosions, which I saw, as he answered, were stressful to talk about (so I stopped with those).
It's so great to see Phillip here in Idaho again.  Welcome Home, Phillip!

I've been going through craft materials that my aide is still bringing me.  It's so much fun!  Last load was full of beading materials, mostly beads, plus needles, sequins, little mirrors and assorted other things to make things with.  There were pipe-cleaners and bells and little angels and papers and parchment and beads and on and on.  A great assortment.

I did my visiting teaching letters today, and I read blogs and moved some things around with my aide to make room for the craft drawers.  I can't believe all that will fit into the craft room, once it's organized.  I have more to do on that.

Mark drove the bus full of residents to Bear World this a.m.  I was going to go, but there was no room this time, and that's great!  We have more residents now.
While I was going up to board the bus, I got in a hurry and fell out of my electric wheelchair.  I was surprised I wasn't hurt, 'cause the halls here are pretty hard, but I just bruised my knees some.   I fell the other day, also, and was basically unhurt.  Heavenly Father must be keeping some helpers around me, so I can keep Mark on his toes, lol.

We're still watching American Idol, and next wk. is the final.  Our favorite (Joshua) left last night, but I still really like the two that are left.  I'm sure Joshua Ledet will be a well-known name once he gets some of his music out there.  He is a fantastic singer!

We are still going on walks and writing letters and deciphering census records and so on. but a little at a time.   It's like Megan's house - you improve it in one aspect and then you see more you want to do.  Our Heavenly Father's help is always needed, and, after our efforts, let the chips fall where they may!

Kattie's birthday is May 28th - we should have a big wingding for her!  (Kattie, you didn't read that)
Also, Dallin and Haley went to Casper, Wyoming today, to look at housing there.  Maybe we could have a farewell for them at the same time?  Let me know your ideas, okay?

Take care, and remember I love you!
Hogs and Kisses!  :o

Wow, so much going on over there! I'm glad you didn't get hurt falling out of your chair. Maybe you need to wear knee pads! And that is kind of sad that there wasn't room for you to go to Bear World too, but good that there are more residents there now.
Ummmm..... I can't remember anything else I just read. :/
We are getting ready for a year sale in the morning, and Sally across the street is having a massive auction in her yard so it is going to be CRAZY here tomorrow. I'm actually kind of scared. I have to set up and man our sale, but want to bid on her new mattress set, but there might be a gazillion people over there.... and I don't want to leave Brooks manning the sale for a long time 'cause he might sell everything for twenty five cents! Garage sale people know to talk to the husbands because they will sell stuff so cheap. Also, it is scary with the kids and ll the traffic that will be on our street tomorrow, plus Rachel is bringing Lily and the baby, and Jennifer might be coming to sell some thing too.
Wish us luck! :)
Are you going to the Shamrock sales tomorrow?

We have been a busy family! I have loved all of the family get togethers, and embarrassing Phillipe was great! hehehe.
All of your pictures were so fun to see, you seem to capture a lot of good candid moments which is more fun to see than "staged" pictures for sure.
We SHOULD do a farewell for us and a birthday party for Kattie next weekend! That'll be out last weekend so we need to do something one last time!
