The ballet was beautiful! I've never seen a major company ballet before - the backdrops were amazing, plus the costumes and lighting. The Idaho Falls Symphony Orchestra played the live music, which added so much to the experience.
I noticed, too, how precise all the movements and timing were, and how everyone was exactly together and moving in sync. I'm used to ballet recitals, where there is great variation across the performers' skill levels.
The best part was going to a cultural event like that, that lifts you up. I was raised to appreciate the fine arts, because we had a university in our city, and my parents took us to many of their performances of various types - dance, orchestra, drama, opera, we enjoyed it all. I love to become absorbed in an uplifting and enriching performance.
Going with family members multiplies the enjoyment, and I was thrilled to go with Melinda to Swan Lake. It was for her birthday, from Danny, and me going was my gift to her (that's my kind of present!).
I got some great pictures of Melinda talking to people during the intermission. I just kept taking them, and when you go through them rapidly, it's like a little movie of an Italian speaking, with the way she uses her hands to talk.
We also got some pictures of us, close up of necessity. They look so silly, being that close. But fun. The whole evening was like that, very relaxed and happy.
Thank you, Melinda!
(Oh, and I'll post the pictures as soon as I can. : )
To change the subject, Mark got a picture on his phone a couple of days ago, of a ravishingly beautiful female, and he showed it to me! I was so happy to see her! I didn't know Ava Muezet, daughter of Kattie and Ben, had arrived! She is so darling! (I'll add her pic when Mark sends it to me.)
Congratulations to the whole family! I'll bet the boys are excited to have a baby sister!
That's it for now, so take care, everyone. We love you!

Your ballet experience sounds so fun! Idaho Falls really is a great town, and they are always bringing in big shows and productions to keep the culture alive. I bet Melinda was in ballet heaven!
I still can't believe that Kattie had a baby! So crazy! Also, did you know we were going to name Anya, Ava Meuzet? Brooks thought Ava sounded harsh though, so in the end he won and we found another first name. Still, I think that is crazy that we almost named her the exact same name! I wonder what Kattie would have named her baby then. Would she still be Ava Meuzet?!
Anyway, I gots to go to class, but keep writing often and I'm excited to see the pictures of the ballet trip!
Oh, and all that house stuff with your Chubbuck house sounds annoying and expensive!
