Hello! How are you doing? Yesterday I decided not to expect anything
out of myself, and it’s very freeing! I
don’t recommend it for everyone, but for people like me, who feels guilty and
anxious every day if I don’t remodel and decorate our living space, even if
it’s a rental, win at Nationals – riding a horse that I’ve bred and raised
myself, that doesn’t exist yet, landscaped a handicapped accessible yard and
garden that is the model for the western United States, written the Great American Novel, plus sent
homemade cards to everyone I know, created amazing 3-D, multi-media artwork, and
somehow become better-looking and healthier (with prosthetics or even new
legs!) than I was 20 years ago, it might be a good mental adjustment. (And I’m not
exaggerating!)

Okay…where
was I? Lots of things have happened,
none earth—shattering. I’ll have to
look at the pictures. Oh, yeah. Before Haley and family left town last time
(he still hasn’t heard on the job he interviewed for), Haley came over on Monday for a visit; Grandpa got to play with
Paige, while Haley and I took pictures and Hunter played with the animals and
the toys.
Tut
was out-of-sorts for some reason – maybe too much attention being paid to Paige
and Hunter, and not enough to him! It
was sad to see them go, but we’re all hopeful about the job.
Meanwhile,
we’ve been sick a couple of times, hence no blog posts lately. But we watched a bunch of dvds from our
public library. Our favorites were
Becoming Jane and The Sound of Music, the extras. On tv we saw From Here to Eternity, which we
both liked, and we’ve been watching American Idol, which has some crazy-good
female singers this year.
This
is Tristan’s Valentine box we made. He
did most of the work, and he came up with ALL of the ideas himself. Isn’t he clever?
And
this is what Mark made me for Valentine’s Day!
It
was a total surprise, and so yum yum yummy!
(It
took us about 2 days to eat it. ;)

Tristan's Valentine's box is so cute! How fun that he got to make it with you too. I miss having the kids over to your house to make crafts and things.
I agree that sometimes it is just nice not to expect something of yourself for a day or two or twenty! I am looking forward to the summer when school is out and we can relax more. Although, we will probably just play more and end up just as busy, but it will be a fun and relaxing busy!
I'm so glad that Tristan got to make his box with you! He was soo proud and happy! Your Valentines from Doc looks wonderful. Yumm.... And it is good for you to find ways to feel good and free to do good things.
Thanks for all the pictures!
Oh, and Paige looks so cute with Doc!
