Megan and Brooks' Visit - Tons of Pictures!

First, a couple of photos of Josh, Bethany and Ben, before The Big Visit

We met up with the grandkids and Megan and Melinda and Linda at the church
The grandkids loved riding on "The Short Bus" that Grandpa Doc was driving

Then we visited in the Campbell's front yard
Here, Anya is showing Grandpa one of her early birthday presents

 Baby Bethany enjoyed the shade
The girls gathered on Megan's all-purpose quilt
Me, in my new, shady hat, holding Bethany
 Leto, looking dignified
Eventually, tho, he gives me a look
"Where did all these kids come from?!"
We got to visit the Tauphaus park zoo

When Uncle Justin is around, Emme knows where to look for help

 Josh holding Dad's hand
It looks like he's thinking, "What are we doing?"

Anya and Uncle Ben share a joke
Justin and Megan share it too

The most exciting animal at the zoo, the Siberian Tiger - right below us!
Emme and Irelyn, preparing for Anya's 4th birthday party!
Enme likes to be the little mommy
(Alternating with torturing Irelyn, of course)

 Esther's youngest girl
 Kynwyn helps Melinda decorate
Megan and Esther, figuring out how to color the white frosting
The store didn't have pink, they didn't have food coloring,
And we were all out of red (for pink frosting)
Finally, we borrowed some from the neighbor

Anya was so cute, looking happily expectant

 Brooks shows Sabriel to Kynwyn
Saber spent lots of time with Dad
She wasn't feeling so great
Turned out she had a double ear infection!

Megan helped the kids do snaps

Irelyn looked darling in her bibs

Megan, helping the kids do sparklers

 Linda, helping out
 Josh, looking thrilled, then thoughtful
I'd sure like to know what goes thru his head
He's always so funny

Kenya won the "smoosh your face into some whipped cream
and blow up the bubble gum" contest
Kenya doesn't look too excited,
But everyone had fun once they tasted the cream
At first, Josh looked like he thought we were crazy!
This is Tristan and Alaina's friend Kayden, on the right
Anya seemed so surprised by her presents,
Especially when she opened the Polly Pockets set
From Mom and Dad
She said, "They got me just what I wanted!" to Brooks

 The pink cake!
 Emme adored the yellow cupcakes
(Grandma Doc thought they were pretty great, too)

 Audrey loves Uncle Phillip
Anya, playing with her little horse set

I love this picture of Josh and Emme
They always have a great time with each other
Alaina couldn't get enough of that yummy pink frosting!

Mom and Emme spending fun time together

 "The party's over..."
 Alex looks exhausted,
But actually he's listening to Willy Wonka songs
Alaina and Emme, hiding out in the sleeping bags
These are pictures from the Haroldsen kids visiting Grandma Doc (me) one afternoon
Aiden and I found the old game, Tropix, that he used to play
And we fixed up his bug jar, which he'd been saving for two years (!) to do with me

Audrey and Anya made little Best Friends books with stickers and markers
And the whole works,
While Ella Enchanted played on the tv nearby

Tut seemed unfazed by all the visitors
Another day, we went to the Splash Park at Rexburg
We had a great landing spot, under a huge shade tree
The kids loved running through the water, going down slides,
eating cotton candy, and baking in the sun

We then went right over to the carrousel,
The one Megan and Melinda came to when they were young girls,
With Haley and Phillip
Our friends, the Andersons, restored the beautiful horses for this carrousel

We had a great time!
(More pictures to come!)

You had so many great pictures! I love the one of Brooks flying Sabriel through the air at the splash park. Can I just say though, whenever I need inspiration for exercising all I'll have to do is look at these pictures! Yikes! So scary.
We had such a wonderful trip! Much better organized and planned time wise than the other times we have come.
I need to get your new number! I've been uploading pictures from our trip, so hopefully I can put up a trip blog post today.
