I want you to meet someone...

Her name is Breanna
I recently became friends with her on Facebook
Turns out, we have a lot in common
We both love literature and horses and the same books and movies
and crafts and cooking (I still love finding recipes!)

Breanna lives in Anchorage, Alaska
where much of her family is
I think that's where she grew up,
but I haven't had the chance to ask her about that yet.

I admire Bree and her family so much,
because of this little girl, Eden Brynn:

Isn't she a doll?
She's our granddaughter
She is Breanna and Seth's baby
And you might know that Seth is unable to see Eden
because he is incarcerated, and will be for at least a year more

(Kids, pay attention, because there are all kinds of consequences
that you cannot anticipate right now, based on the little choices you
are making right now, day to day!)

We didn't know about Eden's existence until last Sunday,
on Mother's Day

And now I can't help but love Breanna and her family,
because they have been taking such good care of Eden.
Breanna, you are so strong!

(Great grandma, grandma, Breanna, and little Eden)
Eden has had some very serious health problems.
I read about it through her momo's (grandma Maureen's) words
as she experienced that time

(Eden with her tracheotomy)
(Great grandpa with Eden in the hospital)

They have loved and prayed for Eden,
and they nursed her through surgery to remove an internal birthmark
that interfered with her breathing (and a tracheotomy),
and all the care and heart-wrenching moments that that must have entailed
during 13 days in the PICU and 24/7 nursing care at home
The whole family prayed for her to survive.
Can you imagine?

Thanks to their care and their prayers to our Heavenly Father,
Eden is alive today

(Her first smile after being sick)

How can I thank them enough for that?
I feel so humbled in the face of it
so blessed by the miracle of her survival

Here are more pictures of Eden, plus some of her
Anchorage family
Hope you enjoy them
and I hope you reach out to Bre and her family,
on Facebook and in the mail

Welcome little Eden Brynn!
(I think it's hilarious how it seems like Seth is
being tortured and forced to wear little girlie clothes :-P )

We love you!

Oh, my!! What a perfect little doll!! She is so cute and darling and looks sooo much like Seth!! Oh, I wish we could kiss those cheeks!
That is so sad about her having to be in the hospital and having surgery! That must have been so hard for their whole family, because it seems really sad to me and it is over now! I'm so glad you put these pictures on here- Breanne seems really great and like a wonderful Mom with lots of great family around. What a blessing!! But, it is incredibly sad that Seth has to miss so many of these cute, cute months when they are so little. :( Thank you for putting these on here and I would love to contact Breanne on Facebook!

Eden is sooo adorable! I'm so glad you were able to find pictures and post about her. It truly is heartbreaking to hear what she had to go through as a baby, and what that must have put her mom through! I can't imagine. So happy that she is healthy now, and hope she continues to stay healthy!
I LOVE all these pictures! Like Mel, I too would love to contact Breanna and hope she wants to get to know the family more!

Oh she is such a blue-eyed doll! With so much cute red hair and rosy cheeks too! She looks exactly like Seth it's crazy; and I wonder if she also has his super laid-back quiet temperament too.
The pictures of her in the hospital are soo sad, made me cry just seeing them. You didn't elaborate on why she was sick or what with- you should either leave more details on here or call and tell me! :)
I will contact Breanne on Facebook too, and hopefully she isn't overwhelmed by all of us contacting her at once, haha! I love Breanne and her family too, and I'm so grateful that they're taking such great care of Eden and obviously love her very much. Can't wait to keep seeing pictures of Eden as she grows up! It really is sad that Seth is missing her baby-hood, hopefully he can see her once he gets out.
I am so excited to have another member of the family, I love each and every new little baby that comes into the family.
Thanks for posting so many pictures!

OH, I see that you added more details about why she was so sick. Poor baby! She seems so sweet. And sorry that I kept saying "breanne" instead of Breanna! Woops! It's because Mel called her Breanne so that's what I thought it was- I blame Mel! :)
