Busy Wednesday

This a.m. I have a dr. appt., and then I need to get to work! If Mark will get our Christmas "decorates" out, we could put them up; in the meantime there is plenty to do, more de-cluttering and cleaning (always in process), cards, artwork, etc. Mark bought the food for Thursday's cooking. It's kind of exciting when you hear the bustle of the grocery bags, isn't it?
Mark and I are really, really enjoying our little fireplace/heater thing - I need to name it something: how about Toddy? It makes you feel the way a hot toddy should, although mind you, I can't say from personal experience! That seems about right. We watched So I Married an Ax Murderer last night. It's so silly. : ) My favorite line is, "Come, let us dance like Children of the Night!" (This, uttered while Mike Myers is in his Sprockets mode, my favorite.) And all the "Hede!" outbursts from his Scottish dad. I wonder if MM was imitating his rl Scottish dad. Anyway, it's awesomely quoteable. It's cold here! I guess we live in Idaho. lol Stay warm and safe where you are, and Happy Thanksgiving early! xoxoxo PS Megan, could you help me put some crossed candy canes up on my header? Thx!

Haha, I love that movie and I forgot about that hilarious quote about dancing like children of the night! Baha! It's fun getting ready for the holidays, or at least you make it sound really fun when you write about it! See you tomorrow and Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

Haven't seen that movie in forever!
Have you seen any of the new series called Once Upon A Time? I just saw the first episode on hulu today and it was really, really good! There are about 5 episodes out now so one of these days soon it would be fun to see more. Hopefully it stays good!
Are you excited for Thanksgiving?! Brooks put the turkey in a brine tonight and he made a lemon meringue pie and I am making a chocolate one tomorrow. I made the filling for the ham roll ups (which is now one of Brooks' favorite Thanksgiving day foods) and I boiled the eggs for deviled eggs. We are running/walking the turkey trot in the morning and then more cooking! This is the first year I don't have a burning ache inside me to be with all of you for Thanksgiving. Don't feel bad. If I think about it too much that bach will come!
Have lots of fun tomorrow! Are you going shopping on Friday? We don't have any plans too, especially since Brooks has to work that day, but my guess is we will wander out at some point in the day. Even if just to watch all the crazy people spending oogles of money!
