2011 - Incoming!

You should have seen Mark dancing at his bldg's New Year's party. It was hot! He even did his PeeWee Herman dance. They had the assisted living bldg. party at noon, with a fantastic band and talented singers. We ate game hens and rice, green beans and chocolate cream pie. Oi! Deedee and Melissa and others danced up a storm. Some of the residents did, too. (I think they may have 'professional' experience. : ) Mark and I danced together some, especially to Unchained Melody - our song. It was so romantic! We counted down to the new year on Australia's time (because the residents will likely be in bed at midnight). Then we went over to Mark's bldg., where we all wore party hats and used our noisemakers for the countdown. They also had a terrific male singer. Then we were served cake and ice cream. Oi vey! I couldn't finish any of the food, which is a good thing! The people here are happy and friendly and genuine, even if they're having problems. I like that. It is a whole 'nother place, and it's fun to observe and participate. I met Don, the owner, today. He was very personable, but he didn't stick around a long time because he and his paramour were flying to California to get away. Tonight, we'll probably put a movie on in the theatre, and we can pop popcorn (in their machine). Deedee and Melissa will probably join us. This is the most celebration I've had on New Year's Eve - it's like Defending Your Life, all the time (all except the no calories part). I love that we're getting further on in the 2000's. We're the Jetsons! 2010 brought a lot of changes for our family and our pets. Seth got his driver's license and his first accident, he started on his EMT training (interrupted by health and other problems), and now he rents a room and has Leto with him. Hope all goes well for him, and for Leto. Phillip went to training in Louisiana, and he'll deploy to Afghanistan in February, I believe (for 13 mos.). Mark and I were apart for four months! Crazy! But you do what you have to do. I wouldn't have made it without the family's support. Now we are reunited, and that's why Unchained Melody is newly meaningful to us. Tut is here, hiding/sleeping most of the day, then coming out and getting right in the middle of whatever we're doing. I mean, as close as he can possible get, with his stretchy body knocking everything out of the way. He is a hoot. So, I want to wish you a Happy New Year. Praying that Kittle Litty is found soon (we should all fast on Sunday for her return...Please, please, please, please!). I hope your year is full of joy! I'll take some pictures, I promise! xoxoxo

That sounds so fun to have neat parties right there where you live, but you can still go up to your own apartment if you want to! Wonder what they thought of the peewee dance. :)
The theater sounds like the neatest thing! The kids would think it was so neat to visit you and get to go to the movies right there where you live!
I hope they find Kittle Itty too. It is sooo sad just thinking about missing kitties, especially when it is cold!
Speaking of cold, today it was in the mid to upper 60's! It was sooooo wonderful! We are hoping tomorrow is just as nice, knowing that at any moment it will get cold again.
We finished most of the bathroom today! Plus, I cut off Winston's matted fur on his legs. The vets thought we'd have to have it shaved but thanks to all the long haired kitties growing up, I am an expert at cutting hair close to the skin without hurting them.
TOnight we fed the missionaries and now they are playing a board game with Brooks and Aiden. One set of them had appointments and the other set didn't, so it is that set that is here. Audrey has so much fun with one of the elders. It's is a good thing she is only 5!

That is hilarious that Doc danced and even did the Peewee dance! And the food and parties sound wonderful. Dallin thinks you guys must have the most carefree life now that you only have to worry about Tut. :) I hope you're loving it as much as you say you are, cuz it sounds like you're having the best time of your life! Now if only we had transporters so we could see you without trying to travel with Hunter... I'll tell Dallin to invent a transporter.
We just got home from a long break at Dallin's parents' house, and it's so nice to be home! Although I really liked having family to play with and to babysit Hunter so we could go on dates. I'm going to miss it, but I love having my own place and my own time to do what I want. We set up my kitchenaid in the kitchen and I kind of just stare at it and admire its beauty. :) I'll write more about out break and stuff in just a little while!
