Middle of December and All is Well

(This is just a picture I found,
but isn't this lady's hair long?!)
Actually I haven't been feeling so hot, but I can't really complain. I don't have to go to work feeling sick or anything, or take care of a baby. Just Jasmine, at the moment. She is parked on my lap, but she's being good and not clawing her way up my shoulder as she usually does.
Just thought I'd let you know we're still here, and things are fine. Mark cleaned and decorated last Saturday. Wasn't that nice? He did a good job, too! I'll have to take pictures to record it for postererity.
Hope you are having a wonderful holiday season, and that you aren't too busy to enjoy it with your families. We went driving around Sunday night, looking at Christmas lights. We don't know the really good places to look here yet, but we saw some nice ones. We love the ones with mangers, and we love LED lights, with the beautiful blues and purples glowing in the snow. Some places had big globe lights that changed colors, and others had silvery, lighted deer that were magical. So fun! Our street has a few lights up, so we don't feel like the Scrooges of the neighborhood with our few. You can see the top of our tiny tabletop tree from the front, and it looks like a big tree. Heeheehee. Our big tree is in the family room, and it has all red lights this year (the others didn't work, so it's lucky the red ones did!). It's very beautiful at night. Take care, and thanks for reading! xoxoxo

Why is it that so many lights don't work the next year?! Guess it's a good thing they're cheap.
I'm so glad you wrote on here again, as I have been going through a withdrawal. And it would be nice if everyone would stop being so busy so they can write more often!
It's nice to hear that Jazzy cat it sitting on you rather than crawling up you with her old lady crabby claws. And I love that Doc decorated this year! You'll have to post some pictures!

Hi noodly! I hope you're feeling okay, and that you get to rest and relax. I feel bad for people who have to go to work when they feel sick, or when they want to stay home with their family. It's cute that Doc decorated! Awww, how adorable. I'm so excited to come visit on Christmas! Especially since we'll be the only ones there so we'll get ALL of the attention. :) hehehe. I wish we weren't all so far apart, because I want to have a big christmas all together. But maybe we can in a few years, when Meggie comes to visit for Christmas (or another holiday). And it'll be fun this year anyways, just because of the good food from Doc!

I'm glad that you got your trees up and got to go look at lights. We took our kids out last night and they thought it was really neat. Except that they were really tired and Alex was crying on the way home about wanting to see "eight tiny reindeer." He knew exactly what he was talking about, but we couldn't figure it out and had to get home, so he was mad/sad.
I hope we get to see you soon!

That was always a family tradition of ours growing up. . looking around the city at all the lights, piled in our suburban. We always saved going down Candy Cane Lane for last. . I don't know how my parents handled all 7 kids in the car at once. . I think every time we did it someone ended up crying, usually Jodee. :)

It sounds very Christmas-y there with the snow. We just have rain, but that means the lights reflect in the water on the roads at night so that's pretty. I hope you feel better and stay warm and cozy. Thanks for posting all the fun pictures. love you-t
