Hangin' Around

Anywhooo...Yes, we are hanging around, and around, and around.
I've been ill again, every night while Mark's asleep.
I'm starting to dread the nighttime!
To counter that fear, I'm going to start eating gummy worms at night
while I watch spider movies.
Just kidding.
I was trying to think of scary things I could do
to scare away sickness.
I'll have to do something.
I think I've got one of those viruses that doesn't
really go away.

Mark got a call on a job in Oklahoma today.
I like that state, from what I know of it.
But we don't know much yet.
They may call us back on Friday.

And that's the report from here.
Book Club should be coming up,
but right now I'm in no shape to attend.
We'll see how I am by Wednesday night.

I did get a copy of my last blog posts to Seth,
but not a letter to go with them!
Uh oh.
That's not very good.
And I wrote Mrs. Cannon
and sent her a bunch of blank gift tags
for her to use on all the gifts she sends people,
just as a joke
They're cute, at least.

I love you!

Update Part 2

Well...we saw a little rocker that Melinda recovered, to put in Emme's room that's been totally redecorated~ and we went to her birthday party, too!  She was so excited!
Here are some pictures, followed by one of Tut in his newest pose:

I love Beth's face in this picture!

Sad for it to be over, but we'll see each other again soon.
Sigh...

Since then, well, for now we're feeling pretty good!
Just taking care of dr.'s appts. and prescriptions and so on.
It's good to be home for a while, without being sick.
This winter has been a rough one for illness in
the general population, I've heard.
I know that it has been for family members,
especially Megan and Brooks and family.
And we still have March to go!

Now I need to send letters to Seth and Mrs. Cannon, and do other things to catch up.
You all take care, okay?
Oh, and Mark's birthday is the 12th, in case you wanted to know.
Take care!  We love you!

Valentine's and Haley Visit

Blog 2/21/13

Hello!  How are you doing?  Yesterday I decided not to expect anything out of myself, and it’s very freeing!  I don’t recommend it for everyone, but for people like me, who feels guilty and anxious every day if I don’t remodel and decorate our living space, even if it’s a rental, win at Nationals – riding a horse that I’ve bred and raised myself, that doesn’t exist yet, landscaped a handicapped accessible yard and garden that is the model for the western United States,  written the Great American Novel, plus sent homemade cards to everyone I know,  created amazing 3-D, multi-media artwork, and somehow become better-looking and healthier (with prosthetics or even new legs!) than I was 20 years ago, it might be a good mental adjustment.  (And I’m not exaggerating!)

Okay…where was I?  Lots of things have happened, none earth—shattering.  I’ll have to look at the pictures.  Oh, yeah.  Before Haley and family left town last time (he still hasn’t heard on the job he interviewed for), Haley came over on  Monday for a visit; Grandpa got to play with Paige, while Haley and I took pictures and Hunter played with the animals and the toys.
Tut was out-of-sorts for some reason – maybe too much attention being paid to Paige and Hunter, and not enough to him!  It was sad to see them go, but we’re all hopeful about the job.

Meanwhile, we’ve been sick a couple of times, hence no blog posts lately.  But we watched a bunch of dvds from our public library.  Our favorites were Becoming Jane and The Sound of Music, the extras.  On tv we saw From Here to Eternity, which we both liked, and we’ve been watching American Idol, which has some crazy-good female singers this year.

This is Tristan’s Valentine box we made.  He did most of the work, and he came up with ALL of the ideas himself.  Isn’t he clever?

And this is what Mark made me for Valentine’s Day!
It was a total surprise, and so yum yum yummy!
(It took us about 2 days to eat it. ;)
