Good Food

Watching the Olympics, along with cooler weather, makes me want to be active and healthy.

Boskydellfarm.blogspot.com has a great site for all you who are interested in great food, gardening, or simple, fresh self-reliant living.
There are so many good posts about favorite meals on the web.  I'll tell you mine, if you'll return the favor!

For a light meal, I'd just like vegetable broth or Lipton's chicken noodle soup or egg drop soup, with good watermelon or a fresh pear.

For a no-holds-barred meal, I'd like to taste all the best pastries that incorporate whipped cream.  Wouldn't that be fun?   We should have a girl-party with that theme someday!  I'll go out to Meg's or Haley's if their are others that will go, too.  We should this fall and we could visit Amish country and go thru haunted houses, too!  I am serious.

Other food favorites:   Fresh corn on the cob; crisp salad with black olives, mandarin oranges, sweet onions, avocadoes, tomatoes, eggs, toasted lnuts and a light, home-mixed dressing; baby peas; Yukon Gold potatoes; eggs on toast, over-easy; chocolate strawberries, hot cocoa and cold root beer.  Sooo many good things.

Let me know what your favorite meals would be.
We love you!

Well you just had to talk about eating healthy while I'm eating ice cream! :) That food does sound good, but most of the time chocolate ice cream sounds better. :)
I would looove to have a girls party and go visit Amish country, or to have people over to my house this fall. That sounds wonderful. If I wasn't worried about just barely having a baby I would for sure say we should do it. But if you guys are all doing it, I might be forced to go!

Oh, but people can come visit me even if I just had the baby! That would be so fun, and I want you and Megan and Mel to see her. I was just saying I don't know if I could travel to Megan's house with a newborn and Hunter.

Oh, you all know you want to come here! Amish country in the fall is sooo pretty, and Winston's farm does their free family day thing where you get hourse rides, buggy rides, $4 plates of Amish chicken, etc. It is one of my favorite days! Hoping we can go this year!
So funny that Haley is eating ice cream.... because I am about to get some! We are some really healthy daughters, aren't we. :)
Some of my favorite foods? Sliced tomatoes, Jamba Juice, V8, broccoli with ranch, steamed cauliflower with melted cheese, Chipotle, pork chops, homemade salsa, Nutella toast, watermelon, anything garlic, green olives, extra sharp cheese, Yoplait vanilla custard style yogurt (even Asia loves this- she will find me anywhere in the house if I open one), LOTS of onions mixed into chilis, etc., that homemade veggie soup you make.....
There are so many good foods in the world! I'm sure I'll think of more to add to this long list. :/

Megan, I'll go with those sliced tomatoes, too~ I don't know what chipotle is. What is it?

Chipotle is a place a lot like Cafe Rio, but the food is a little different. It doesn't sound that good if I describe it because it kinda sounds Mexican, but it isn't Mexican at all. I usually order a babecoa (not sure if that is the right spelling, but it is the pulled pork) bowl with cilantro lime rice, lettuce, corn salsa, sour cream, black beans, tomatoes... I can't remember what else. Anyway, it is soooo good. We always go there when we go to Columbus since we don't have one here.
