It's my birthday! It's my birthday! Wahoo!
This a.m., Mark greeted me with a big, round bowl of jello with mandarin oranges in it - and he left it on the toilet seat for me to find, at which point he ran around in the baggage carrier, going, "Brrrm, brrrm!"
Then we sobered up and went to church, where my visiting teacher gave me a birthday bag with presents in it. : )
There was a honeysuckle/bitter orange candle, a little plaque that sits on a stand, and a beautiful little wooden box. How thoughtful of her!
Later on, after church, Mark brought me watermelon from downstairs, and even later on, he brought up some lovely chocolate cake with ice cream! (I already got my birthday present, which was a membership in "Glitch," an online game that is just in the testing stages now. My Faunasphere friends went there, so it's wonderful to associate with them again. It's a gentle game like FS was, and we water trees and garden and mine and have houses with chickens, pigs, and butterflies. We build on our world with each other. Anyway, it's something I want to explore, so I am delighted to be able to stay on and play!)
Someday this week, we'll go to a buffet here for my birthday and Father's Day. We want to do a few things like that while we're here, just because they are musts when in Vegas. We're looking at online reviews, to find the best buffet. I'm excited!
Now Mark is asleep and I'm telling you about my birthday. It's always so nice outside here. I'll bet it's pretty where most of you are right now. Blessings to all of you!

Happy Birfday! Happy Birfday! HAPPY BIRFDAY!!!
Okay, so I am a few hours late. I told Brooks on Saturday, "Remind me to call Mumsey tomorrow" and then we both got tired and busy and it never happened. So, I will call today, but not yet because some of the kids are still asleep and I want to just have quiet until they wake up. :)
Doc is so silly to put your food on the potty. I would be so grossed out that I probably wouldn't eat it!
Are all those pictures of you as a beeble? I love old photos, especially if they have grandma in them when she was young.
Okay, I will call soon!
Thank you, Megan! Yes, those photos are all of li'l ole me. :D Wasn't I cute? But there is only one picture where I'm not in the sun, so I'm squinting in almost every one (note how much rounder my eyes are in the darker shot).
Btw, although it looks like I am crying in the picture with my mouth open, I am actually laughing. Isn't it a funny picture?
PS Isn't my mom graceful? When I see pictures of her holding me, I feel like I was such a lucky baby, to have her as my mom.
And that is her mom, Grandma Wakefield (later, Gray), holding me in the one picture.
I like the picture where I'm eating a cracker. Just that funny look on my face, like, "What?" I think my dad probably just called my name and I turned my head.
Those are such cute pictures! I hope someday my kids look up to me as much as we look up to you, and as much as you look up to your mother. Your birthday sounds like a great relaxing day. And don't you forget, I'm the GOOD daughter who remembered to call you! :) So I should be up higher on your list of people you will give things to when you die. :)
Happy Birthday! You don't seem a day over 28. :)
Happy, happy birthday, cuz! I left you birthday wishes on FB, too. I loved seeing the pics of you and Aunt Muezet, and Grandma! Wow, Aunt Muezet was so pretty. You were such a cuddly, jolly little baby! I thought you were just a doll when we would go back and visit in Decatur. It seems the older we get, the age gap doesn't exist anymore, but at the time, I felt so grown up...I even gave ya a little spankin' 'cause you were acting up outside the church and wouldn't go in! I've felt guilty about that ever since. lol Anyway, your birthday treats and presents sound delightful, and I'm glad you had such a nice day. I'm playing Gardens of Time...ancient civilizations, etc. And games to play as you're leveling up. I'll check in to Glitch, too. Hugssss cuz!
Oh, Bonnie! That story of you spanking her outside the church is too funny. Hope you feel better now that you got that one off your chest. Hehehe...
I once bit Haley's finger in the car when she wouldn't quite screaming. I was still young, but old enough to know better! Didn't help. She just screamed more! I learned my lesson.
And Noodle, I think I probably said Happy Birthday on facebook BEFORE Haley called so I am the good daughter! I'm the golden child! I'm the golden child!
Bonnie, I don't remember you spanking me. It's funny to think that I was acting up - was I very big? I used to be ornery sometimes when I was little, and now I've found another witness to it! I'd love to hear more about it.
Haley and Megan, you will have to continue to earn your status as the Golden Child before I make up my mind, so keep those presents coming! And let your other siblings know as well. ;)
