Pictures from Conference Weekend, or No Rest for the Wicked!

We had a really good experience this past weekend, when we had our kids that could come over help us all revive our 72-hr. kits and share our church conference with us. The weather was sunny and Mark made us his trademark Conference Breakfast of homemade deluxo blueberry muffins, crispy bacon, oj, and superduper hot cocoa. Yum!
In the afternoon, the grandkids colored Easter eggs, and Anya posed with Leto. We missed Ben and Linda - Ben was sick, and Justin and Phillip, of course. It was still a nice family gathering and a wonderful conference; the talks definitely had a theme of having faith, not being fearful, and not being ashamed to stand as a witness for Christ. I felt strengthened and grateful as I listened to them. They reminded me of who I am and how I hope to be. I love conference!
After the talks were over, everyone left and it was very quiet. I looked over and saw Mark. He was exhausted, but happy. Poor Mark...he just can't help himself. He loves to get up early and cook!

I'm so glad that Doc loves to trade sleep for feeding us! Although I ate way too many muffins, pieces of bacon, cups of cocoa, etc.
I love the pictures! Especially the one of those peoples on the bed listening to conference and the one of Leto and Anya. Leto is such a good watch dog. I actually felt safer with him watching Audrey outside today! I'm glad you guys saved him from his stomach woes and that now he can take care of all of us humans. :)
Sorry we didn't get to stay longer today. I don't know why Anya didn't sleep longer! We did get to take Seth with us to Wal-Mart to get egg stuff for pre-school tomorrow. Then we had sandwiches for dinner and the kids watched more cartoons on hulu and Anya and I played on the floor in their room. I am soooo tired. I've planned pre-school for tomorrow and I want to take a hot bath with my FBI book and then watch Top Model on the computer.
I hope you guys are enjoying American Idol tonight! I'm sad to miss it this time.

We dyed eggs during Conference, too! It's never a really relaxing weekend--keeping the kids busy and quiet during the speakers--but it's ALWAYS such a lovely weekend, isn't it?!

Happy day!

Yes, I definitely agree with Megan that I'm glad Doc wakes up early to make good food for us! I was looking forward to Conference breakfast all week! And I ate way too much too...
That was a fun visit to your house. When Megan moves, we will have to work extra-hard to plan family get-togethers, because it's usually always Megan who plans those things. What will we do without her?!

Thank You for stopping by my blog!We always have a breakfast ritual at Conference. Where we are at now we have to go to the church building to watch it. So now we are going to have to change that ritual to something else!
Well I hope you stop by and visit again. I will be back to visit you soon.
