Memorial Day!

Leto Has a Friend
Lainey's 3rd Birthday Party
The End of the Party
_____
I woke up feeling so well this a.m.; I'd fortgotten what that feels like! When you feel well, it seems like anything is possible. I was ready to build a barn and plant the back forty!
Sorry I haven't posted this past week. I've tried to stay out of my wheelchair, for the sake of my hip, knee, and arm. I think it's helped, too. I'll try and balance things more from now on.
So, I haven't read your posts either, but I will. I dreamt last night of Manderly...no, I dreamt that Sandy came to stay with us a while, and we were all seated at a big table, including my mom and dad. I was really happy to have so many of us together! Sometimes it's easy to forget about our eternal ties to each other, and how wonderful that, even tho we're physically apart, we aren't apart at all.
I'm posting photos of Leto and his friend. When his friend gets out to play, they have a good old time. His name is Trooper. Isn't he cute? Also above are photos from Alaina's 3rd birthday party. Really fun.
I'll write more later today, 'kay?
Happy Memorial Day!
Thanks, and we love you!

Okay...

I'm inspired by your blogs, so I'll try again (see last post). First of all, Mark is well now and I've had my mri done; it showed a torn meniscus and possibly dead bone, either from the trauma or general lack of blood supply. I'm going to see an orthopedist next, but my knee is feeling much better! Sat. we went to the library and got some DVDs and books, including The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, for book club. Yay! I also got biographies of Louisa May Alcott and L. Frank Baum (Wizard of Oz author), and a new novel by Margaret Atwood, one of my favorite authors. That afternoon Seth and Mark and I went up to Danny and Melinda's home for Lainie's 3rd birthday party! We had a good visit, and we stayed for dinner, too. : ) Lainey got, among other things, a purple skirt and top, a play tunnel, a little pony and pony-car, cotton candy, a moving toy dog, a pull-along horse, a magnadoodle, and a balloon. She was very excited and cute about her presents, and Alex loved her tunnel, hooked up to the tent we loaned them (which is Phillip's and Seth's from long ago). So fun to see them enjoying good toys that invite imagination and last more than one generation! Justin gave Seth some dvds, including the series Band of Brothers. Wow! And he gave us a wireless router for the computer. Thx, Justin! Ben and Josh were there, too. Josh was cute and sleepy. He can crawl now, and liked the toys, but stuck close to his daddy. He can say "Dada" and "Daddy" now. I love how he stares at my face so intently. He always looks rather horrified at it. Campbells were there also, and Justin, as I said. Tristan was thrilled to have all of us at his house, as usual, and he called Leto "my dog," as he also usually does. Leto had to stay in the car, however, because it was wet and messy outside. It's been cold with rain and snow lately. It's great for the grass and plants. And that's everything I remember for now. I'll post pictures later. Love You! xoxoxo

I blogged...

but I didn't save it in time, and it went away. : ( So sorry. Maybe I'll do it again later. One can always hope. xoxoxo
